To better serve our global customers and improve logistics transparency and container loading efficiency, DINSEN Globalink is sharing industry-standard knowledge on ductile iron pipe container loading. We also showcase our professional supply chain execution capabilities by presenting our recently batch of ductile iron pipe shipments.
Common container sizes used in international shipping are as follows. Understanding their internal dimensions is fundamental for proper loading planning:
- 20′GP: Internal dimensions are approximately 5.90m (L) × 2.35m (W) × 2.39m (H), with a door height of approximately 2.28m.
- 40′GP: Internal dimensions are approximately 12.03m (L) × 2.35m (W) × 2.39m (H), with a door height of approximately 2.28m.
- 40′HQ: Internal dimensions are approximately 12.03m (L) × 2.35m (W) × 2.69m (H), with a door height of approximately 2.58m.
Based on extensive export experience, to ensure cargo safety and efficient use of container space, DINSEN offers the following optimized dimensions for individual packaging of ductile iron pipes. Customers can refer to this standard when designing packaging:
- For 20′GP: The recommended dimensions for a single package should not exceed: 5.85m×2.2m×2.0m.
- For 40′HQ: The recommended dimensions for a single package should not exceed: 11.8m×2.2m×2.0m (internal stacking) or 11.8m×2.2m× 2.35m(considering door height restrictions).
Key Note: To ensure smooth container loading and avoid additional costs, the final dimensions of the product packaging must not exceed the above recommended dimensions! Reasonable packaging design is the first step in maximizing loading capacity and ensuring transportation safety.
Recently, the DINSEN supply chain management team successfully handled and completed the export shipment of a large batch of ductile iron pipes. From pickup at the domestic factory and ground loading and unloading to final sea freight export, the entire process was coordinated and supervised by our professional supply chain personnel, achieving high efficiency and seamless integration.
The team will intelligently match and execute the “nearest, fastest, and most economical” transportation method for customers—whether it’s the stability and reliability of large-volume sea freight, the flexibility and convenience of door-to-door land transportation, or the ultra-fast speed of emergency air freight—ensuring that DINSEN’s high-quality products can be delivered safely and on time to all parts of the world.
Shortly after its team was formed, DINSEN successfully handled its first complex order involving sea, land, and air transportation. This order comprised ductile iron pipes and precision fittings supplied to customers in different regions. The successful completion of this first order not only validated the new team’s excellent operational and coordination capabilities but also fully demonstrated DINSEN’s strong ability to provide customized, one-stop supply chain solutions.
